A glance of Our Achievements
1. This vidyalaya received from the president of India the coveted 3rd computer Literacy Excellence award for the school during the year 2005 instituted by Govt. of India as the best Govt School.
2.The Vidyalaya has been awarded Amul Vidya Award for best Academic Performance at national Level.
2. Master Sooraj and Kum Vasundara of class XI attended ‘science congress’ at Indian Institute Of Science of Banglore.
3. Master Sooraj of class XI also was selected to attend a 5days programe at IIT Kanpur.
4. A team of this vidyalaya participated at the Regional Cultural Integration Meet at Bagalkot and brought laurels to the institution.
5. This vidyalaya has been a centre for training in Regional Mathematics Olympiad for students of various JNVs of Kerala, Lakshadweep and Mahe. Eminent Mathematicians drawn from university of science and Technology, Cochin and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore were among the faculty members. Six students from this centre were selected for National Mathematics Olympiad context.
6. 23 Students were selected to attend National sports and games meet held at Gwalior, Firozpur and Samasthipur.Some of them attended the SGFI meet representing Navodaya vidyalaya Samiti.
7. Rajina of Class XI ,Antocyriac of class VII, Ankita George of class VIII represented the state of Kerala in the National level Handball Meet.
8. ‘KalamKari Painting’ of AndraPradesh ,’Gurubana’ of Punjab, ‘Odissi folk dance’ of Orissa,Kathak by Pathmasree Shovana Narayan were organized in the Vidyalaya in association with Spic Maca, Kerala
10.A computer aided exhibit under the caption ‘Sudoko’was selected at
the National level.
11. Nine distinct programmes were organized under Adolescent Education
Programme under ministry of Health,Govt of India in collaboration with
UNESCO
12.This Vidyalaya has been selected under UK India Educational
Research Initiative programme for a period of 3years from 2008.
13.The football team of the Vidyalaya trained under SAI scheme won the
Trophy in All Kerala CBSE football Championship held at Idukki. Also the same team represented Kerala State NCC Directorate in Subratho Cup at Tripura
14. The band set of the Vidyalaya has made a remarkable impression not only in this district, but also in the JNVs of the Hyderabad region.
